Everyone who graduated from HCCC nee Holy Cross Academy will remember this desk. Looking at it now made me realize why it was easy to keep awake even when the lecture was ultra-boring.

Lingganay (Church Bell) This is the smaller of the two original bells that graced the belfry.

The multicabs are for local transportation and especially for transport between villages and regional towns; they offer their services just as the tricycles do. The number of multicabs grew especially the last 10 years and became competitors of the tricycles on the short distances. Speed and a bit more comfort with the four-wheel cars make the difference.

The Tiki (gecko) a maligned specie during my time not realizing how important it played controlling the mosquitoes and a myriad of ever present pesky insect specially at dusk.

Taguto (Lizard). This too was thought not to serve a purpose except as pests running around the ceiling and walls. They play a very vital role in controlling the mosquito population in the house.

Times have change since my days of planting vegetable, plastic now is used to control the weeds. This also prevent excessive lose of moisture and traps the heat needed specially during the first few days of growth.
