25th Anniversary of our council
Apri7
17, 2012
Our Council celebrated
our 25th Anniversary event in April 17, 2012. Members including most of the past grand knights and some of the original
founding members, joined with special guests to celebrate 25 years of helping
out in our community. This was a well-attended event with some food and good
company where the past Grand Knights were awarded mementos for their services.
The affair was preceded by a celebratory mass complete with color guards
from our council members. Link here to view the 25th ANNIVERSARY record of the event. The regular meeting ensued and nominations were
taken for the next set of officers come June. The cake was a hit and Don Stacey wore a lot of it on his sleeves.
We look
forward to serving our
community for the next 25 years!!!

Memorial Mass for Deceased Knights of 9553 October 28, 2011
Although the Knights of Columbus is rightly
known for tending to the material needs of others, offering Mass for the
deceased is also fulfilling the theme of the Supreme Convention, I
Am My Brother’s Keeper, said Supreme Chaplain Bishop
William Lori.
A mass was
celebrated to pay homage to our brothers that have gone before us. All the
celebrants, from the priest Fr. Michael Downey who just received his third
degree earlier this year, were members of the Order.

Brother Knights performing their duties during a Rainstorm |
Dear
Knights of Columbus, June 4, 2011
Wow! Talk about dedication and superb service! You did an amazing job directing traffic and welcoming people in to the church for
the Anointing of the Sick Mass on Saturday June 4 . “That was quite a
storm" I have enclosed a picture and it looks like it was taken late at
night.
Thank you for the outstanding job you did.
Thank you, too, for the very generous donation of $200 to offset the cost
of the boutonnières which were given to all those who had requested the Sacrament
of the Sick at that mass.
We are so blessed to have such an active and generous K of C Council at
this parish.
God bless
you for all the
good works you do in this community

In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma—but never let him be the period.
Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.
