General Meeting May 20, 2003
Meeting was called to order at 8:30 p.m.

Prior to the meeting DGK Bill gave a well informed presentation on the Diabetes Society which included:… history, signs, prevention, how to live with the disease etc.etc….. many thanks to brother Bill.
Minutes of the previous meeting were distributed and read by each member as they entered
the chamber---- corrections and omissions were called for.---- none presented---- recorded as read…. Approved by Gary… 2nd Bro.Bill.

Grand Knights Report
Bro. Don introduced our new members and indicated his knightline for June would be forthcoming. Fr.Bergie thanked G.K. Don and the council for their support in the parish over the past year.

Treasurers Report

Balances remain at Charity….. $3.86….Gen….. $367.38
O/s fees $245.00 were recovered due to the diligent work of our G.K.

Financial  Sececretaries Report

Membership Summary…Total=120.Currently State is owed $32.50 for ads.and supplies.

Deputy Grand Knights  Report

Poster Contest…..3/4 were submitted by St. M.M.and the 4th by St. Daniels.All participants have received their awards and will be presented officially at a later date.

Car Draw…$5400 was donated to the Arthritic Society with our share $2740 remaining in our charity acct. Congrats to Bro Red for his very successful campaign. This was his last year as chairman. A volunteer is required for next year.
Rose Sunday…$1538.15 was received from the three parishes involved,of which 15% will be retained by the council.
Next year Rose Sunday will be conducted in the mth.of Oct.Roses for that event will be purchased this year.
On Sat. June 14th a workshop will be held in Elmira. All G.K./D.G.K.s are encouraged to attend.
Bro. Bill moved that $100 be donated to the Mass for the Shut Ins.

At this time the District Deputy  conducted the elections for next year. The successful candidates are listed below………..

District Deputies Report

This year's convention again was very successful.Many awards were presented to various councils in our district.He encourges all councils to submit as many entries as possible…..the awards are there for the taking.A number of degree meetings are upcoming…….G.Ks will be notified.1st and 2nd degrees should be moved on A.S.A.P.
