Prior to the meeting Guest Const. David Petz gave a well informed presentation on Crime prevention.His talk focused on Home Security, Street Proofing, Personal Security etc.
If funds are forthcoming,he suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation as his favourite charity.
Min. of the previous meeting were distributed and read by each member as they entered
the chamber----corrections and omissions were called for.----none presented----recorded as read….Approved by Fred…2nd Ang Venditti.
Grand Knights Report
Br. Don indicated a lot of his information would be forthcoming in his bulletin due this current week.
A letter from Pro Life indicating a prayer service at All Souls to be held on May 6 starting at 7.00 p.m.was read.
Treasurers Report
Balances remain at Charity…..$3.86….Gen…..$367.38
O/s fees $245.00 were recovered due to the diligent work of our G.K.
Financial Secretarys Report
Membership Summary…Total=123 Insurance=49 Associate=74.Currently State is owed $32.50
Eleven members remain o/s in their dues. One suspended two moved to Guelph.
Br. Ben will be contacting Brother Knights in his community to ensure improved attendance.
Deputy Grand Knights Report
An invitation from Fr. Bergie to attend a Line for Life fund raiser at Carmen's was enjoyed by our Grand Knight an Deputy Grand Knight.
Car Draw….Poor results from Fennel Plaza …..partly due to the negligence of a few not showing for their allotted shifts. If you can't make it, please call to ensure the allotted shift is covered.
May 12 is the next week for ticket sales.
Parking duties for Palm and Easter Sundays was a huge success…favourable comments from the parishioners and many thanks from Fr. Bergie.
Rose Sunday program is in progress… contact Br Gary for your schedule.
The Poster Contest awards have been donated.Congrats to the winners.
The Interim payment is past due and must be submitted.
Opinions are wanted for the end of year dinner.
