	JANUARY 25, 1571, The Founding Date of Carigara. It took us 2 years to have our Founding Date certified by the National Historical Institute. We even had to secure the assistance of Mr. Eduardo Makabenta, Jr., our local historian. I had to make a research at our Library to get the necessary documents and I'm attaching them for your perusal and possible publication so that our fellow Carigaranons will know and perhaps be proud of as Carigara's founding date antedates Manila's by 5 months. Manila's Founding Date is June 24, 1571. This coming January 25, 2008 will be our 437th anniversary of our Founding Date.
