Dear Friends:
On behalf of PICAH President, Jimmy Ravarra, I would like to express my sincere and deep appreciation to everyone who took the time to be a part of the fund raising event last Saturday, Oct. 24th at the Hamilton Filipino Community Centre.
As promised by Jimmy Ravarra, the net proceeds from the sale of front door tickets, water and pop will go to the flood victims in the Philippines. A cheque, in the amount of $2,340.50 was issued on Oct. 27th, 2009 payable to the HFCC Calamity Fund and delivered personally by Jimmy Ravarra to HFCC President & CEO, Bonner Villabroza. This amount including other donations collected earlier from other organizations and individuals will be remitted to the Philippine National Red Cross. Also, other income from the Oct. 24th event like the proceeds from the 50/50 draw and raffle tickets went to the PICAH hockey team who worked hard to make this event a success. If you have any questions or comments, please call Jimmy Ravarra
