MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the HFC is multifaceted with such notable elements as hospitality in creating a welcoming environment, respect for fellow members and for the diversity of our community, interdependence with the HFCC, leadership through encouragement, demonstrating integrity and sincerity through open communication, sustainability, and the creation of excellence.

We extend our invitation of membership to all Filipino youth in the Hamilton and surrounding area so that we may carry on our tradition of community well into the future.

HISTORY AND PURPOSE

The Hamilton Filipino Club (HFC) is a collaboration of young Filipino-Canadians looking to offer support and a positive influence for all generations and ethnic communities.

The formation of the HFC in early 2004 brought together a group of bright and enthusiastic individuals looking to reaffirm the pride of our Filipino heritage, and to follow and build upon the foundation of the Hamilton Filipino Community Centre (HFCC) established by our parents.

Commitment to the HFC involves monthly meetings, fun activities and fundraising events that ultimately serve to benefit community development.

We welcome people of all cultures at our events so that we may understand not only our commonalities but also the differences between our cultures, thus broadening our appreciation for our own culture and heritage.

In reviewing our personal biographies, the diversity of the HFC members is apparent. Each of us is unique in our character and life course. Yet this individuality enhances the collective synergy that we harness in executing our vision.
