As in the other fiestas before I could not take everybody’s photo for a bunch of reason, however if you want your group included in this slide show please forward them to me. I too get caught up with the mystique of the event and missed a lot of good photo opportunities. I have two contributors so far, Giging and Al with his video.

THE WASHINGTON DC 2008 CARIGARA FIESTA HOST

The above picture is of the Washington DC host of the 2008 East Coast Carigara Town Fiesta to celebrate the 413th anniversary of the Feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross.


FRANCIS FIESTA CAKE

The commemorative cake for the fiesta is the creation of Francis Casela Falguera a freelance designer and decorator. He is one of the host member of the Washington group. Very impressive indeed.

As in all fiesta homilies the emphasis was on the symbolism of the Holy Cross and the white cloth as well as the events that lead to the Evangelization. The extemporaneous deliverance was much appreciated by all, too bad we can not share it with those not present at the fiesta gathering.

The first curacha rendered by Mrs Lilia Avelino from Washington and Opras Sabay from Texas opened up a frenzy of activity with the dollars pouring in from all over.
