Coalition Team for Change
Topic: Coalition for change

The "glory" of our town is no more; such that the majority of the townspeople are clarmoring for change.  Accepting the challenge of becoming agents of change is a group of concerned Kalgaran-ons who have come together with a common cause to hopefully change the present administration come Elections 2010.  Their pockets are not full of gold, but the hearts are full of the "real and sincere gugma" for our hometown.

It was just fitting that the Coalition Team for Change started day 1 of their journey in this political struggle with the celebration of the Eucharist, attended by members of their families.  Each candidate shared a prayer of intercession, giving voice to the urgent needs of our community.  Then, in a touching and symbolic ceremony, they put to flame all their concerns, aspirations and issues they want to courageously address.  Drawing strength from this first step of giving thanks to the Lord of justice, peace and love, they filed their individual certificate of candidacy without fan fare.

We appeal to all concerned Kalgaran-ons to join in this crusade for change.  Let our voices be heard through our actions!

"The rich and powerful take what they want.  Let us be the "good guys" to provide leverage to the so called 'weak and oppressed' in our community."

I was looking up Enola Gay in Wikipedia when I was prompted to go over my WW2 History 101. I guess you can figure out how I landed on this site and a coupla more sites about Carigara, one of which contains the homily of a schoolmate (who is now and ordained priest) which really inspired me and humbled the self-proclaimed athiest in me.

Anyway, election is just as near as Christmas and everyone is filled with anticipation and anxiety over what may befall our beloved "bungto".

Two things:

First, I have heard so much about how dirty politics has become in our town and how badly the town has been led. I don"t think I have the right to make a stand on this issue since I've been a prodigal som of my mother hometown for more than ten years now. All I know was when I left Carigara, I could still bathe in the cool, clear water of Pantalan. But thefact that this news still reaches me every now and then no matter how hard i try to distance myself from the town whose inahbitants I disdain the most (for reasons I don't need to divulge here) indicates that its stench is really that intense.

Second, I still got way too many things to do tonight so i think those few words above may pass for an impertenent unsolicited opinion (which i just love doin).

God Bless Carigara. I don't wish her a good leader cuz i really think it's not that easy to find a pure heart now in Carigara. I just pray for a bright future that would work for her real children.

Whatever the means are, as long as the ends are utilitarian, i got no problem with it!
